So far, statements from eight witnesses have been recorded in the case, while cross-examination of seven witnesses has been completed. During the last hearing, the eighth witness was cross-examined by Imran Khan’s lawyer.

It is important to note that Imran Khan’s lawyer has filed a request in court for an open trial instead of a jail trial. The court has been asked to pause the case hearings until a decision is made on the open trial request.

The court has issued notices to the relevant parties regarding the open trial request. The request includes the Superintendent of Adiala Jail, the FIA, and the Punjab Home Department as parties.

After receiving the request, the court continued the trial and adjourned the hearing until February 17. Now, the hearing has been further postponed to February 27.
