Islamabad: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that the much-anticipated final match for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will be played a day earlier , on March 18 (Saturday), instead of the previously scheduled date of March 19 (Sunday).
The decision was made due to bad weather forecast for the coming days. In a statement, the PCB said that Sunday and Monday will be kept as reserve days in case the match cannot be played or completed on Saturday.
Chairman of the PCB Management Committee, Najam Sethi, said that it was a sensible and proactive approach, and that the teams involved in the playoffs have backed and supported the decision.
Cricket fans will face no inconvenience due to the rescheduling, as tickets purchased for Sunday’s match will remain valid for Saturday’s rescheduled final.
