RAWALPINDI: Punjab’s Secretary of Schools, Khalid Nazir Watto, announced that winter holidays will begin on December 20, 2024 in the province.
As per report, the Secretary of Schools, in a statement, also mentioned that the winter holidays would continue until January 10, 2025. A total of 21 days have been designated for the winter vacation in Punjab.
Meanwhile, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi has postponed the intermediate practical exams scheduled for Monday, following the federal government’s announcement of a public holiday in the twin cities.

“An updated date for the practical exams will be announced later,” said Controller of Examinations Tanveer Asghar Awan.
However, he stated that practical exams in all other districts, except Rawalpindi, would be held according to the date sheet. Practical exams for Intermediate Physics, Health, and Physical Education were scheduled to be held today.
On the other hand, Punjab University has postponed the on-campus mid-term examinations for a week due to the current situation.
As per a spokesman of Punjab University, the on-campus mid-term examinations, scheduled to start on November 25, will now be held a week later, while normal classes will continue in the university during this time.
According to the spokesman, the relevant departments of the university will conduct classes online, in person, or in a hybrid mode.
