ISLAMABAD: The National Highway Authority (NHA) has announced that citizens can avail the M-Tag facility nationwide at no charge until August 15.
This initiative was announced in a statement released by the NHA here. In the near future, only vehicles with M-Tags will be allowed to operate on motorways.
The NHA Advises the public to seize this opportunity and requests them to obtain their M-Tags free of charge as soon as possible.
M-Tag system introduced by the NHA, aims to save time and lower travel costs while making sure digital transactions are clear, helping to manage public money effectively.
To ensure easy access, the NHA has provided multiple options for recharging M-Tags, including:
- Customer care services
- Drive-thru booths
- Service areas.
Payments can be made through various methods, including:
- Credit/debit cards
- JazzCash
- EasyPaisa.
By introducing the M-Tag system, the authority aims to lessen traffic and cut travel time, making it an important tool for drivers.
As the deadline gets closer, citizens are encouraged to take advantage of the free M-Tag service and get their tags before August 15.
Starting August 16, only vehicles with M-Tags will be permitted to use the Lahore-Sialkot Motorway (M-11), marking a significant step toward a more efficient and organized transportation system in the country.
