Forbes doesn’t only celebrate how women around the world make a big difference, but also talks about the tough things they deal with nowadays.

Ursula von der Leyen, who’s a politician from Germany, keeps her title for the second time. She’s been the 13th EU chief since 2019. Forbes picked her as the most powerful woman this year, beating other big names like European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde, US Vice President Kamala Harris, and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.

At 65 years old, von der Leyen made history as the first woman doing this job. She’s in charge of making laws that affect more than 450 million Europeans.

Also, Taylor Swift, a famous pop singer, is in the fifth spot on the list, which is a big jump from being 79th last year. She’s ahead of other big stars like Beyonce and Rihanna, according to Forbes.

Forbes also talks about the good things done by Melinda Gates, who gives a lot to charity, Oprah Winfrey, who’s big in media, and Emma Walmsley, who’s the boss at GlaxoSmithKline in Britain. They’re ranked 10th, 15th, and 31st on the list.

The Forbes list also talks about important women in politics who used to lead, like Sanna Marin, Jacinda Ardern, and Nicola Sturgeon. But there’s no one from Pakistan on the list.
