SBP Announces Bank Holiday for First Ramadan 2024 in Pakistan – Notification Issued

ISLAMABAD: The State Bank of Pakistan will be closed for public transactions on the 1st of Ramadan 2024, 1445 AH, designated as a ‘Bank Holiday’ for Zakat deduction purposes.

Consequently, all banks, DFIs, and MFBs will be closed to the public on this day.

Nevertheless, as per the official notification, all employees of banks, DFIs, and MFBs are required to attend their offices on the Bank Holiday, considering it a regular working day except for public transactions.
