ISLAMABAD: The caretaker government has opted to maintain existing prices for petroleum products.
Per an official notice from the Ministry of Finance, the government’s decision keeps the cost of petrol at Rs 283.38 per liter and high-speed diesel at Rs 303.18 per liter.
The announcement also indicates a price reduction of Rs 3.82 per liter for kerosene and a decrease of Rs 3.40 per liter for light diesel, resulting in prices of Rs 189.46 per liter for both.
It’s worth mentioning that on October 15, there was a noteworthy reduction in petrol prices by Rs 40 per liter and diesel by Rs 15 per liter. Consequently, petrol was fixed at Rs 283.80 per liter, and high-speed diesel remained at Rs 303.18 per liter.
