ISLAMABAD: The Chairman of Capital Development Authority (CDA), Noor ul Amin Mengal, took to Twitter to announce that the Islamabad Expressway project, stretching from PWD to Korang, will be completed by the end of June this year.
He also shared that the project would extend to T chowk and is expected to be finished by early next year. Despite the inconvenience caused during the construction period, Mengal expressed his regret.
Mengal revealed that the travel time from Barakahu to Kashmir, Murri, or Galiyath would soon be reduced to less than five minutes. He also stated that the project’s challenging phase has been completed successfully.
The completion of the project is expected to provide significant relief to commuters traveling from PWD to T chowk and those heading towards northern areas of Pakistan. With the expected reduction in travel time, the project is expected to boost economic activity and improve the overall quality of life for the residents of Islamabad.
The announcement by the CDA chairman has received positive feedback from the public, who have eagerly awaited the project’s completion. The news is also expected to impact the property market in the area positively, with real estate experts predicting a surge in demand for properties along the expressway.
