MUMBAI: Kartik Aaryan’s newest movie, Chandu Champion, portrays the life of Murlikant Petkar, India’s inaugural paralympic gold medallist and Padma Shri recipient. Similar to the extraordinary resilience of the legendary athlete, the film depicting his journey is performing remarkably well at the box office.
”Chandu Champion’ raked in Rs 35.25 crore (INR) in its initial week, and by the second week, it surpassed the milestone of Rs 50 crore, maintaining a steady performance’ as per indian media report.
The Film started its second weekend with a Friday box office collection of Rs 2.65 crore. The film saw an 83 percent increase in collections on Saturday, earning Rs 4.85 crore, followed by a Sunday take of Rs 6.50 crore, resulting in a weekend total of Rs 14 crore.
On Monday, the film experienced a typical decline, earning Rs 1.75 crore, while Tuesday’s estimates suggest an increase to Rs 2 crore in collections, according to early reports from Sacnilk. Chandu Champion’s total earnings now reach Rs 53 crore.

Kartik underwent a notable transformation for the role, decreasing his body fat percentage from 39 percent to only 7 percent and shedding weight from 90 kgs to 72 kgs.
