Rajkumar Hirani, renowned for his astute financial strategies, has managed to produce “Dunki” with a budget of just INR 85 crore, marking it as Shah Rukh Khan’s most economical film since Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.
As per Pinkvilla’s report, this modest sum does not cover expenses for the cast and crew. However, factoring in customary talent fees, alongside marketing and print costs, escalated the total budget to INR 120 crores.
Another contributing factor to the film’s relatively restrained budget is the swift completion of the shoot within 75 days.
Significantly, Dunki turned profitable before its release due to substantial earnings from non-theatrical rights, resulting in an estimated profit margin of around INR 100 crore for the filmmaker.
In related news, riding high on the triumph of two blockbuster hits – Pathaan and Jawan – the megastar has revealed the first track of the film, titled Lutt Putt Gaya.
On Instagram, the Don star shared, “Tere Dil Mein Tent Lagaunga Tere Ishq mein Goteh Khaunga Main toh gaya… Lutt Putt Gaya 30 days to the journey of Love….#Dunki. #DunkiDrop2 – #LuttPuttGaya song out tomorrow!”
