ISLAMABAD: Tremors from an earthquake have been experienced in various parts of the country, including Islamabad.
As per the Seismological Center’s report, the earthquake originated in the Hindu Kush region, located on the border between Tajikistan and Afghanistan. It struck at a depth of 196 km. In Pakistan, the earthquake’s intensity was recorded as 5.8.
The tremors of the earthquake were felt in various cities of Pakistan, including Lahore, Peshawar, Bannu, DI Khan, Swat, Diamar, Chalas, Nowshera, Mansehra, Deer Bala, Lower Deer, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and their surrounding areas. Additionally, Mianwali, Malakand, and the nearby regions experienced the earthquake’s effects.
Indian media also reported that tremors from the earthquake were felt in the capital city of New Delhi.
