Lahore: Hundreds fall ill after eating substandard food at wedding ceremony

LAHORE: More than 360 guests fell sick after eating food at a wedding in Lahore’s Khayaban-e-Amin area. Over 200 people suffered from food poisoning and were taken to different hospitals. Some patients are in critical condition.

The wedding was held at a private marquee in Satto Katla. Many guests felt unwell after eating the food. The affected people were shifted to hospitals in Lahore, Kasur, and Narowal, where they are receiving treatment.

The groom, Sarfaraz, blamed the marquee management for serving low-quality food, which caused many guests to fall sick. He has filed a legal complaint against the management. Local authorities have started an investigation and promised strict action against those responsible.
