The Special Planning Authority will handle zoning for commercial, residential, and agricultural lands. The district land use plan will be reviewed every four years.

The deputy commissioner will lead the district special committee. Representatives from service providers like WAPDA, Sui Gas, and WASA will also be part of the committee. A violation tracking mechanism will be introduced to prevent illegal land use.

A district digital wall will help identify land misuse, and applications will be processed quickly based on digital data.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz instructed authorities to promptly resolve pending housing sector applications. She emphasized that proper town planning is essential for a stable future. Poor planning, she noted, has led to unregulated and illegal housing societies in urban areas.
