The report states that PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan confirmed Salman Akram Raja’s resignation.

It should be noted that Salman Akram Raja’s resignation has come at a time when PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa leader Shaukat Yousafzai raised questions about the leadership of PTI Punjab after the November 24 PTI protest.

He said that he was very sorry about the D-Chowk incident. Where was the leadership of PTI Punjab? Will the party be run by Bushra Bibi, or will the leadership take charge? If the party leadership does not have that much authority, then they should resign.

Reacting to Shaukat Yousafzai’s statement, Salman Akram Raja said in his statement that yesterday was also the worst day in the history of PTI.

Salman Akram Raja said that people ask why they could not reach. He stated, “We were protesting in Lahore. All the roads were closed for us. How could we reach? The whole of Lahore was turned into a prison.”

It may be recalled that Salman Akram, while making a significant claim regarding the deaths of PTI workers during the Islamabad protest, said that at least 20 of their workers had been martyred, of which the complete details of 8 workers are available. The rest of the details will be provided to the media.

PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja stated that their workers were killed by live bullets and shells. Following this massacre, hospitals in Islamabad are being instructed not to provide records to the relatives.
