ISLAMABAD: Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi arrived in Pakistan on Monday for a two-day official visit.
A statement issued by the Foreign Office Spokesperson said that Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araqchi has arrived in Pakistan for a two-day official visit.
The statement added that the Iranian Foreign Minister will “consult on the situation in the Middle East and Pakistan-Iran bilateral relations.”
According to the statement, during his visit, he will meet with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar. “This visit provides an important opportunity to advance cooperation and dialogue between Pakistan and Iran in a wide range of areas, including trade, energy, and security.”

The situation in the Middle East is tense after Israel attacked several targets in Lebanon and other countries following events in Gaza.
The Israeli army claimed to have arrested a Syrian citizen linked to “Iranian networks” in a ground operation in Syria on Sunday. This is the first time in the current conflict that Israel has announced the presence of its troops on Syrian soil.
