ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Imaad Khan made history this month by becoming the first person from his country to earn a master’s degree in football coaching and management from the esteemed Real Madrid Graduate School.
Imaad, a talented football player since the age of ten, was part of the national team during Pakistan’s tour of Sri Lanka in 2016. He also operates a sports club and football academy in Islamabad, the Pakistani capital.
In 2022, he became the first Pakistani to pursue a master’s degree in football coaching and management at the Real Madrid Graduate School.
He wrote on Instagram, “This is how graduation at Real Madrid looks,” captioning a video of his graduation ceremony. In the video, Imaad Khan is seen at his graduation ceremony in a football stadium in Spain as they call out his name.
He was accepted to the Real Madrid Graduate School in 2016 but couldn’t start because he didn’t have enough money. Imaad was later sponsored by the Bilquis and Abdul Razak Dawood (BARD) Foundation, which enabled him to enroll in 2022.
“BARD Foundation proudly celebrates Imaad Khan’s historic achievement as the first Pakistani to earn a Master’s in Football Coaching and Management with distinction from the Real Madrid Graduate School,” the BARD Foundation wrote on social media.
Real Madrid is a very famous football club around the world. It has had some of the greatest football players ever. Even in Pakistan, where cricket is the top sport, Real Madrid is very popular.
