ISLAMABAD: A terrible fire broke out in Islamabad’s H-9 Bazaar on Wednesday, engulfing several stalls in flames.
Rescue 1122 personnel, along with 5 fire brigade vehicles and CDA staff, are busy extinguishing the fire at Sunday Bazaar in H-9 of Islamabad.
According to media report, the fire in the market intensified, engulfing 300 shops. Nine fire brigade vehicles and 60 firefighters are currently engaged in extinguishing the flames.
Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, Rana Waqas, stated that the fire’s intensity in Sunday Bazaar is high. CDA and rescue organizations are working to put out the fire. Due to its intensity, Pakistan Navy, Air Force, and other organizations are using fire brigade vehicles from Mangwali.
Efforts are underway to control the fire as soon as possible. The fire initially broke out in the shoes and clothes section, spreading to more shops.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi took notice of the fire incident in Sunday Bazaar, Islamabad. Minister Naqvi contacted Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa. On his instructions, Chairman CDA promptly arrived at the scene.
The Interior Minister directed to utilize all available resources to control the fire. He emphasized increasing the number of rescue and fire brigade teams and deploying additional resources to manage the situation promptly.
