Child Protection Bureau Takes Custody of Rizwana, a Domestic Worker Victim of Violence

LAHORE: The Child Protection Bureau has taken legal custody of Rizwana, a domestic worker who endured violence at the residence of a civil judge.

Federal Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar has stated that legislation is being developed to address the situation faced by girls like Rizwana.

During a Senate session, Federal Minister Sherry Rehman expressed her views, pointing out that the minor girl Rizwana fell victim to abuse by the family of a civil judge.

She further emphasized that no court has yet taken any action regarding Rizwana’s case.
