KARACHI: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has increased the number of its biker service units in Karachi from three to eight to improve doorstep services for citizens.

According to Karachi Region DG NADRA, Aamir Ali Khan, people from all districts of Karachi can now use the biker service to renew their Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs), apply for B-forms, and avail other NADRA services at home.

He said a roadshow was held in Karachi to promote the Pak-ID mobile app. NADRA has also launched awareness campaigns in universities, schools, shopping malls, and other institutions to increase the use of the app.

Aamir Ali Khan added that the Pak-ID app’s software has been improved, and technical issues have been resolved. He further said NADRA plans to launch a large-scale promotional campaign for the Pak-ID app in the coming months.

This expansion builds on NADRA’s initiative launched in January 2025, when the biker service was first introduced in Karachi with three motorbike units. At that time, the service was also rolled out in Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas with one biker each. The service aimed to reduce long queues and waiting times at NADRA offices. An additional 10 motorbikes were also planned for deployment to enhance the service.

NADRA officials earlier stated that representatives using the biker service would carry backpack kits with required equipment and charge an additional Rs. 1,000 for home visits—comprising Rs. 825 for service and Rs. 175 for delivery charges.
