Karachi bans sea swimming during Eid-ul-Adha 2025 holidays

Karachi: The Karachi Commissioner has banned swimming in the sea for one week during the Eid-ul-Adha 2025 holidays. This ban will remain in place from June 6 to June 13.

According to media reports, the Commissioner said that the Meteorological Department has warned about strong pressure in the air from June 7, which may affect many parts of the country from June 8.

During Eid, sea breezes will continue, and on the second day of Eid, strong winds may blow at a speed of 35 to 40 km/h.

Due to this ban, many citizens in Karachi are disappointed, as a large number of people usually visit the beach during Eid holidays, especially from June 7 to June 9.

On the other hand, after the federal government, the Sindh government has also announced Eid holidays from Friday, June 6 to Monday, June 9.

It is important to note that the Zilhajj moon was sighted in Pakistan on May 28, and Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated on Friday, June 7, across the country with religious spirit.

Earlier, the Cabinet Division issued a notification for Eid holidays after the approval of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The holidays will be observed from June 6 to June 9.
