After the videos went viral, the police department’s reputation was compromised, prompting the DPO to take strict notice. He suspended all the officials involved, brought them to task, and issued a formal charge sheet.

The DPO has also ordered a full inquiry into the incident to take legal action against those found guilty of negligence, irresponsibility, and violation of the departmental code of conduct.

A police spokesperson stated that such incidents will not be tolerated, and officials will face strict disciplinary measures to uphold the force’s reputation and maintain public trust.
