Punjab to roll out talent hunt program across province for the first time

RAWALPINDI: Punjab government has decided to start a Talent Hunt Program for the first time across province, this program will give young athletes a chance to move forward.

According a newspaper report, Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has asked for a detailed plan for the Punjab Talent Hunt Program.

Maryam Nawaz Sharif has also directed the Sports Department to take steps to become financially independent.

In addition, a decision has been made to start a Youth Internship Program in the province. The Chief Minister has requested a complete plan for this as well.

Maryam Nawaz said that Punjab will provide young athletes with plenty of opportunities to show their talent. Female athletes will get equal chances to progress. She also said that there should be no delay in the salaries of Sports Department employees.

On the other hand, approval has been given to set up new facilitation markets across Punjab. According to details, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved the establishment of new facilitation markets throughout the province.

She has set a deadline of August for completing 13 ongoing facilitation market projects. A special meeting was held under the leadership of the Chief Minister to review the establishment of new facilitation markets across the province. In the meeting, a decision was made to set up additional facilitation markets in Bahawalpur, Attock, and Murree.

Maryam Nawaz has asked for a detailed plan for setting up these facilitation markets. Markets will be built in Nowshera Virkan, Burewala, Kabirwala, Sangla, and Jalalpur.

The Chief Minister has ordered the quick identification of land for facilitation markets in Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalnagar, Attock, and Murree. She also instructed the district administration to allocate land for these markets. Maryam Nawaz has approved funds of more than 690 million rupees to shift the facilitation markets to solar energy.

Switching to solar energy will reduce electricity costs in the facilitation markets by up to 70 percent. The savings from lower electricity costs will be passed on to the public by reducing prices. The first facilitation market in Township successfully completed a pilot project to switch to solar energy.
