ISLAMABAD: A new program to give free food to students in government schools in Islamabad has started, aiming to offer healthy lunches to students.
Education Secretary Mohiuddin Wani shared this news, saying the government is serious about making sure all students have what they need to learn.
In the first part of the plan, 40 primary schools will get lunches starting this week. Specifically, 20 schools in Tarnol and Nilore will start getting these free meals.
Secretary Wani talked about how the government and a trust are working together to give meals to school kids. He said it’s very important to make sure all children have good food to help them learn and grow.
Also, Secretary Wani said they have a plan to make the program bigger. In the next two months, all primary schools in Islamabad will get free meals. This way, more students will benefit, and it will help with food problems for kids who go to school.
