Sindh Government Declares Public Holiday on Monday

KARACHI: The Services, General, and Administration Department of the Sindh government issued a notification on Thursday announcing a public holiday on Labour Day.
As per the notification, the government has declared May 1, 2023 (Monday) as a public holiday throughout the province of Sindh.
All offices, autonomous bodies, corporations, and local councils under the administration control of the Sindh government, except for essential services, will observe the public holiday.
The aim of celebrating Labour Day is to take measures to safeguard the job security of laborers and industrial workers against exploitation.
